Jessner Peel:  Jessner’s Solution is a skin peel compromising a mixture of AHA Lactic Acid and BHA Salicylic Acid with the Phenol derivative of Resorcinol. The Jessner Peel was popularized by New York dermatologist Max Jessner and also has been known as the Combe’s Peel. If you are considering a chemical peel it is highly recommended that you consult a physician who has completed training in this procedure and that can provide you with a sterile atmosphere and quality aftercare.

 

TCA Peel: TCA stands for trichloroacetic acid and is a common agent used for chemical peeling, one type of facial resurfacing. Dr. Bharatwal uses a 20% TCA solution (one of the most effective on the market today.) TCA peels can help treat pigmentation, discoloration, fine lines and aging grooves. A TCA peel should be administered by a well trained physician in their office. The downtime and recovery is between 7 to 10 days. A TCA peel is not appropriate for all skin types and a consultation is required before your procedure. A strong medium-depth TCA peel can give great results when done properly and can be an affordable solution to expensive laser treatments.
